 We fell in love with Hozen on Instagram and were head over heels when we met face to face at Market in NYC. Rae's design + craftsmanship make her a force in the sustainable accessories market. We're so happy to represent Hozen at Marne.

WE LOVE FASHION—BUT WE LOVE THE EARTH, TOO.
And for that reason, HOZEN is proud to bring sustainability to the accessories space. The brainchild of Rae Nicoletti, who studied hand leather work at San Francisco’s Amblard Leather Atelier under Hermes master artisan Beatrice Amblard, HOZEN is proof that philanthropy can look as good as it feels.

By refusing to buy into the harsh realities of the leather industry, we have designed a line that honors our deep commitment to respect and protect the planet. Named for the Japanese word for conservation, HOZEN bags boast eco-friendly luxury synthetic leather and suede; zippers and thread sourced from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, natural rubber and remnant rope; and lining, labels and packaging made from recycled cotton or post-consumer recycled paper—all of it sourced from factories around the world with high standards of ethics, responsibility, and governance. Add to that a minimal-meets-irreverent aesthetic and the circular shape, which serves as a symbol of conservation and compassion, and you’ve got HOZEN’s inaugural collection.

Each piece is produced in small batches at a fair-wage factory in Los Angeles. (Want proof? Just look for the smiling face on the “I made your bag” card, included in every purchase.) So much more than a vegan leather line, HOZEN is a bold new approach to fashion that allows consumerism and good conscience to live together in beautiful harmony.
